Surfboard Cable Modems
Surfboard cable modems are the world’s best-selling brand, with over 135 million units sold worldwide. Redsqware has been fortunate to have worked with product managers over the course of several changes in brand ownership; from General Instrument to Google Mobility, Motorola, and finally, ARRIS. Our staying power is a testament to the efficacy of the services and the quality of the results delivered by our team.
The surfboard site went from zero users to over a million in its first year, and continues to grow at a rapid rate.
Initial project features included a store locator tool with remotely updated inventory for multiple vendors, a seamless integration for Amazon AWS and WooCommerce, a support portal, keyword anchor strategies for various annual promotions, and ad retargeting. Inbound marketing tactics made use of highly desirable content, such as detailed support videos, a NASCAR promotion with updated scores and video featuring Carl Edwards, and music downloads. Additional video animations were created to target niche user groups, like gamers and other power users. Using speedtest.net as a platform to demonstrate the speed and reliability of the Surfboard products proved to be extremely effective.
The creation of surfboard.com was a significant undertaking, as there had never been a product-specific web presence before. Redsqware worked with the ARRIS team to deliver a wholly unique new online destination which was capable of evolving with the client’s needs. From innovative promotions on speedtest.net, to scripting advanced logic-based tools to aid consumers in finding the right product, to integration with vendor supply chains to determine product availability, to providing a velvet rope web presence for retailer support purposes… we’ve helped literally millions of users to surf like never before.
